How Property Owners Can Find Development Partners in Ghana

Practical considerations for owners who have land but need capital, expertise or professional support.

All insights

Many property owners in Ghana hold land or unfinished buildings with genuine development potential. The gap is rarely ambition. It is usually access to the right combination of capital, development expertise and professional services.

Start with clarity. Before approaching any partner, be clear about what you own, what documentation exists, and what you would like the property to become. A partner can only assess an opportunity they can understand.

Organise your documentation. Title and ownership evidence, site information and any prior planning work all reduce uncertainty for a prospective partner.

Be explicit about what you need. Capital alone is rarely the whole answer. Many owners also need a developer, an architect, an engineer or a project manager.

Finally, be realistic about structure. A development partnership is a commercial relationship with obligations on both sides, and it should be documented properly with appropriate professional advice.
